Suspension code, varian code?

Post by Vova585 »

Anyone knows where to find varian code for suspension component on p3 xc60? I need to by rear springs for my 2016 R design(spring broke at 55k, how you are making them volvo I have no idea, but it is crap) I spoke with lady at fcp, but she was not helpful or knowledgeable at all about this. Volvo parts online shows 8 different part numbers based on varian code. I cant locate chassis number which allegedly should be 20+ numbers. Thank you.

I would have assumed the chassis number and VIN are one and the same. But what do I know?

Went to speak to dealer and they gave me a part number which is correct for my car. Apparently when dealer enter the vin into vida, it gives them opportunity to see "as equiped" so they can help with part numbers. As suspected, fcp's suggestion was not correct for my car. Still unhappy about 2nd car braking rear spring at 55k(havent had any spring issues with any toyota or Honda prior to probably 160k+ and in salt belt) and no clear way to identify proper part for regular owner.
