Greetings,
2007 v70 140K (DSTC) is off and on showing 'Brake System / Brake Assist Svce Required' messages, AND cruise control is suddenly non-functional.
Brakes are good, brake fluid full, braking is normal. No VIDA codes during this period.
Any thoughts, links about this would be valued. Ty!

For lots of people it is brake pedal position sensor. Dont cheap out and get ATE brand. But best would be to check with Vida/dice cor codes. But my educated guess would be that sensor.

You will likely need a code reader that can read ABS codes, not just ECM codes
Think $50-75 tool, not the cheap ones
A single wheel sensor problem will disable ABS and Cruise , too.

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.
