As I don't own a P1 (although I have helped repair a few now), What do these units actually do, and more importantly does anyone know if they are interchangeable between cars without programming? I see them called ICM (Infotainment Control Module)
Secondly I have 2 that have different part numbers. One would suggest it may have some GPS function as well. Below is what these units look like:
I have 2 versions. Strangely, when I look up the part numbers on the unit on Volvo websites, the part numbers come up, but there is no information on what models they fit. I think that maybe it is like P80 ETM units where if you have the same part number they may be interchangeable with the same part numbers. But that is only based on supersession part numbers linking different parts.
Part # is: 30797719. This is the other version:
This one is part # 31268051 (Part # does come up in the parts listing and has an alternate part number of 31268055. This variant is listed as GPS Navigation System.
I know the CD player is attached by a connector cable to the CD unit.
Any info is appreciated.
Neil.
