Replaced the old steering wheel with one from a c70.
The colour is a dark grey, compared to the old black one. Luckily it’s not that much of a colour difference.

Leather is still in ok condition. But scuffs here and there, but it’s not worn yet.

The thicker steering wheel feels very nice, so I’m happy with my junkyard find.

Spoke too soon.

I need an alignment. The steering wheel is off.
Had an alignment not even two months ago…

Maybe I’ll try turning the tie rods even turns and see if that works.

Rolled the S70 Karla to EWR for a ten day trip.

30 mpg , no traffic on Sunday. Stopped and fixed SIL golf on the way.

Just turning the tie rods evenly may not do the trick. Regardless which way the steering is off you need to measure the Toe to see if it's Toe In or Toe Out with the steering wheel centered before deciding which Tie Rod(s) to turn. Use trash bags under the wheels for less friction and with engine running when centering the steering for measurement. Depending if it's Toe In or Toe Out and which way the steering is pointed left or right while driving you can determine which Tie Rod to adjust.
.
Blessings,
