Whirling sound when accelerating S80 2002 2.4i Topic is solved

Hi guys, I was happy with my s80 170hp from 2002 before i started to notice this whirling sound. It is only hearable when I'm driving and accelerating. When i take my foot from accelerator it goes silent so it's not wheel bearing. I know that model have problems with automatic transmission, but maybe this is something else?

Welcome to MVS, dadzik1.

That has a high likelihood of being a wheel bearing. If I was in a Car Problem Casino I'd put half my money on wheel bearing. Cars don't thrust exactly forward, fwd/awd cars I'm talking about here. There is usually a slight angle to the thrust vector that will transmit that slight angle to all rotational elements.

Look at me talking like a scientist.

I already checked wheels and they spin and look alright. For now i will replace transmission mount because it looks too wobbly and that bearing on right driveshaft. I will also check exhaust manifold, i think engine its little to loud when reving up.

I just replaced transmission mount and driveshaft. I think that its started to vibrate a little more on steering wheel but that not important. I ordered used driveshaft for exact my model but it was a little different next to each one. So first i wanted to test if it will fit and not cause any problem before replacing bearing to a new one. I mounted it and it's silent now so i will not replace this bearing for now, because its all right. So if anyone have this same weird whirling sound when accelerating it's probably this bearing on right driveshaft support.
