I think they go behind the PB like I had them. The cable is straighter into the hub this way.
These are new Meyle-HD, and they don’t have the torx end to tighten with a box end, there’s nothing to hold on to. So I blasted them tight with my fairly weak HF electric impact.
<EDIT>. I drove it around the neighborhood, no clunking from the rear like before.
I also swapped the snow tires off for summer.
What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

On my way to the doctors this morning, passing a truck the V70 fell on its face, backed off the throttle and it picked back up, so I babied it the rest of the way. After leaving the clinic it wouldn't idle long enough to leave the parking lot, popped the hood, the charged air pipe was blown off the tubo rubber coupler sleeve, pushed it back in place and drove home. Made a mental note to fix it... one day.

Two issues:
1 - Red airbag (SRS) warning light on the dash. I suppose this could be a connector under a seat, or a failed sensor somewhere?
2 - No response from the sunroof button - neither lift nor slide open. Don’t know why I even touched it, it’s still too cold for that. Just curious.

For #2 - Alarm module has died. It takes out the sunroof. Now it could be the sunroof motor too, but I doubt it.

I put a serpentine belt routing diagram in the back of my log book - just in case. I carry the tensioner release tool in the rear wagon storage tray.

Our weather has vastly improved! I replaced those pesky plastic window lift blocks in the passenger door. 15 minute job, really, unless you lose one of the screws down inside the door and it turns out it’s under the car on the street.
