Likewise. I also use fine grade flap discs for cleaning my metal workbench top prior to wiping down with WD-40 to help protect it. Using WD-40 from time-to-time to keep the rust at bay has worked well. At last I have found a 2nd use for WD-40, the other being for cleaning greasy parts and protecting recently cleaned metal parts like nuts and bolts for storing.
