Broken glass allowing weather in for years... oof. But hey for the right restorer that could be an absolute gem and lots of fun (and challenge) along the way. I bet there's a dozen people out there somewhere who would jump at this. They're crazy, but they're out there  :D

I’m told our local car collector has 4 or 5 122 wagons. Hmm.

And what pray tell is an RS 122? Like a Porsche, a special race version?

I once found a completely rotted 122 in a dirt lot out past the airport. No gate, just sitting there. I didn’t see anything saveable on it. Maybe the windows and the shift knob.

Just out of curiosity, I did a quick search in Portland OR and Los Angeles for Fiat 500e electrics. Perfect in-town groceries and hardware car. (They only sold them new in those cities).

They have mostly vanished! There used to be a dozen listed. So I think people are hanging onto them while gas prices soar.

My friend in Denver had a 500e. He loved it. Before that he had a big Benz diesel executive sedan, probably around a 2000 model year that he liked also but had some hugely expensive problem so he sold it and got the Fiat. That would have been a jarring car switch for me. Guy just loves odd cars. He's in fact the owner of Bardo Coffeehouse where I probably did 50% of all my hours of work on MVS, sitting at a table or booth, getting all cranked up on good coffee and seeing amazing friends and customers. 5-6 days a week for about 10 years spent in there.

I absolutely would not mind trying out a ~10 year old BMW i3. They're cheap now, or were. They had the tallest but skinniest wheels/tires I've ever seen on cars.

Yeah, I like those. That’s a good color combo. They could be ordered with fabric seats and birch trim. The last versions had a fatter wheel for looks. That’s a very rigid, solid, carbon fiber shell as well.
