The new set went on the back of her car, as I don't need her bashing the NEW tires just yet. I have 2 other projects that I need to put tires on and a few junk tires I need to dismount and run to the recycler, so this stuff (I have about $300 into everything) will come in very handy and save me trips to the tire shop.

I gave up after 2 hours on these low profile tires. Also could not get my ebay "duck bill" attachment to function correctly. Whats your secret?

It took 2 of the bead jack/drop center tools to keep the tire bead in the "low" area of the rim barrel. The bead isn't going to "stretch" so you need to account for that. I also use 2 second pry lever (well, a piece of 1x2 wood, but a plastic coated lever would work to protect the rim).

Use the main lever to pry the bead up onto the duck head. While prying up, make sure the extra lever or whathaveyou is between the tire and the rim. The main pry bar is going to slip off of the duck head, leaving that extra lever to keep the tire bead up as you rotate the head around.
I use soapy water for removal, and save the bead grease for install.

No second lever has been needed for installation, but a bead jack or two is needed.

The tires on her car are 225/45-17's and are "W" rated.

Installed a new fuel pressure regulator. The return outlet is smaller than it should be, and it seems to be leak free only because of older compliant hoses. Pressure readings look correct which is a big improvement from nearly 4 bar. I'll probably get a coupler/reducer for new hoses instead of finding another regulator

Working on reglueing the drivers door panel today to fix the gaps and primarily the rattle coming from the speaker area when playing bass heavy music. Turns out the speaker was not screwed all the way down which I think was causing it (the joys of "Somebody's been here before").

Door panel reglueing seems to be coming along fairly nice.

I used Gorilla Glue clear grip contact adhesive. So far it seems to have worked well bonding the plastic bit of the door panel to the cardboard outer panel, but the cardboard to cardboard bonding isn't working as well. I'll know better in the morning when I remove all the clamps. Hopefully the imprints the clamps made in the leather don't become permanent...

When I do these repairs on padded upholstery, I use small wood blocks to spread the clamp contact area. Paint stir sticks are a good source.
I use contact cement for adhesive. It can be reactivated after hardened with acetone.

Unfortunately, the ABS once again started acting up as it had over the past week. Today, the ABS light came on, even though I’d gotten one of the refurbished ones. Is there something I should check before reaching out to the company?

Mine went bad again too, I had some random matching one sitting around and put it in to see if it would fix it but it must have been one I got off a junkyard car, but it had different codes so that tells me two bad units and not a problem with the car.

Bruno, check the wheel speed at each wheel ( good scanner needed) to see if it’s one of the wheels tripping the code on the module. Same scanner will read abs codes too

How far are your from EWR? I drive through twice a month
