I though I had killed my rose bush last fall cutting it back..lim always afraid if that so was more aggressive this year…

Reports of its demise were premature….

I tried some vinegar on a clump of crab grass (?). It is not dead yet, but may be dying. Vinegar seemed to have little effect on bermuda grass.

Amana electric dryer has quit. It seems the timer failed. I ordered $100 new timer Friday. Today I removed the old timer and disassembled to see if I could do a repair, even if temporary. I could not see any damaged parts, so we wait for new timer.
I will be visiting a laundry soon.

I have been removing old bricks on my house and replacing with new. The original 1970s brick was not fired well and started crumbling by 1990s. Acme Brick sent a mason in the 1990s to replace many bricks under warranty, but more are failing. I cut out a couple using a hammer drill and masonry bit and then mortar new brinks in place. It is kind of fun, but takes some time to get the technique and go though the process over and over for each brick. I think I have about 1000-1200 to replace. In 2-3 hours I can place 2 new bricks.

I’m worried Lugnut is into 2000 hours for bricks. That’s the wrong kind of bricks for these Fora.

Got a lot of bamboo cleaned out of backyard. I have been enjoying our patio in the cool June weather.

My backup mower is an Ariens RM1028. There's little information on YouTube for common servicing. So I made a video on deck removal and belt replacement and adjustment. In the process I learned how to weld videos together.

I made shade. First we had to scrape and paint this big soffit.

It’s a big long triangle from Amazon. Cheap. Tries to lift the house in a windstorm. It bent some big fat eye bolts last year. But it really keeps the DR and hallway cool.

Shade is cool!
Heat pumps work pretty well here in the south. They may need a lot of extra help in colder winter areas. If it gets below 10 F, our system runs resistance heating most of the time. But that cold is rare here.
A larger air to air system may still be suitable in cold areas, but a ground source (or pond source) heat pump would be better. But initial cost goes up a lot (like several times cost of air to air).
