Cant find cem part # on ls can but it finds it on hs can. Shows it finding the part number. Puts vehicle into programming mode. Whole vehicle shuts down as expected. Starts the counter. Ends up going to 99 0 latency. Reboots vehicle then says cant find cem part number. Tried three different kinds of canbus modules like waveshare etc. checked wiring and diagram multiple times. Added in 12v converter to power externally didnt change anything. Adding and removing grounds didn't change anything.
Show us the log? What it says?

Also what car is it?

I have 5 P1 vehicles at the moment, ranging from 2005 to 2012. I may have to plug the unit in again to pull it up. I dont know if it gets saved automatically anywhere. BRB

It is not. Just copy-paste at the end and save somewhere.

You may also have a better luck with this version: https://github.com/cmolson/volvo-cem-cr ... e/one_pass

Code: Select all

Calculating bytes 0-3

[ 00 -- -- -- -- -- ] latency 0; std nan
[ 01 -- -- -- -- -- ] latency 0; std nan
[ 02 -- -- -- -- -- ] latency 0; std nan

Looks like logical pin 2 (hw pin 4) is not connected to CAN HS transceiver's receive line. Show a good picture of what you assembled?

Its quite the mess. I had verified each time, with a multimeter, when i soldered new can modules but you triggered my brain to check everything again. I guess i missed the jumper wire from pin 23 to 2. I hadnt been checking that and it was disconnected.

VolvoSynchro ver1.4 doesn't work. It can set 10 synchronization bytes, but doesn't give You the eleventh byte,
which together with 10 synchronization bytes allows to start the engine.
Without correct 11th byte value - engine will not start. It will crank but no run

That is what I mean :

I'm having the same problem on my V50 T5.
The ECM is completely fried.
I'm trying to reconfigure an ECM, but I'm stuck on the key learning process.
The ID48 is never recognized by the ECM despite using the ME9.0 Synchronization Utility software

Just sync CEM to ECM if replacing ECM

Either I wasn't awake or the translator reversed the letters.

But it's definitely CEM that I replaced.
