2007 xc70. Anyone use a split cv boot replacement?

I just found the passenger side cv boot is perished and I really don't want to spend anymore time and money on the car than I need to.
Anyone have experience using a split boot and if so, how did it turn out and which one did you get...

Put a BailCast split boot from Amazon on a 2002 Honda CRV one year ago. $21.49
Not a long-term fix, but on an older vehicle where you're not wanting to make major investments it has it's purpose.
Holding up fine, but keeping my eye on it.

My advice- do it right the first time. Half measures will only ruin your still good part and will lead to frustrating in a future. New quality axle from GKN will be around $600. Boot kit is likely around $100. Replacement is decently straightforward for entire axle. Boot replacement can be a frustrating and dirty business and at times manitary savings are not worth your time investment and nerve cells.

[I’ve done a couple and it’s hard to get the glue to seal amidst all that grease. After all that due diligence cleaning and prep, it’s a similar work load to a new boot, plus you get to see the innards and how long they have to live.

Get it done before winter
