My '95 has the newer connector like on the '96 cars. I have both trip computers sitting here. If you want either, let me know. Your car likely has the 2 green socket plug in's in the back of it. The switch for the '94 cluster does fit in the back of my '95 cluster (I just checked, I have a cluster in my closet). The '94 switch is a little square compared to the '95 - '97 switch. Let me know if you need anything.

My dash cluster looks like the pic on the left(digital screen with ambient temp/clock). I'd have to get the trip computer, harness, switch and change out the odometer gear while I have cluster out. I was thinking about getting some leds for the dash cluster...I swapped in some blue leds in my 5thgen Lude dash cluster/switches/climate control/ ect.... The blue leds look sick but I'll probably go with white leds for the Volvo.

Well, as explained, I have everything you need it you want it, pm me. I also have a working ODO. It has something like 115,000 on it. I also have one with 213,000 on it but I think I'm going to put it in my car (and take out the 115,000 one). My car has about 214,000 on it.

My GLT has a little under a 100,000 miles and want to just replace the gear while I'm in there.

I know this is a very old thead, but have a question regarding the 850 car/trip computer please.

My car is '96 855 T5 which has the trip computer. It was working fine until I recently had to R&R the dash to do some other repairs. It was apart for over 2 months so I may have forgot some things.. :|
After I got the dash back together, everything seems to work fine, except the trip computer, which just displays all possible options and does not respond to changes from the car computer menu switch on the dash.

I probably forgot to plugin the connector from the car computer menu switch to the cluster. I recall when plugging in the cluster, there were two connectors at the top/back of cluster, but there was another connector on the harness side that I could not see where it plugged in so I left it disconnected. I looked at my notes that I made during disassembly and it only noted two cluster connections.

My question is does anyone have a pic of where the car computer menu switch harness connector plugs into the cluster? I apparently missed it when I had it apart? I don't want tear it apart again w/o knowing where exactly where it plugs in (if I can help it) since I don't want to have to figure this out once it's apart again..

Any relevant help appreciated! Thanks in advance..

For a '96 there are two green connectors.

1. The trip computer gets powered up by the larger connector, from the cluster to the back of the computer. Since you have power, that one is plugged in (yes, just like you already said!).

2. The little 5-pin harness from the Info switch plugs into the center back of the trip computer. Re-posting the image from page 1 of this thread, it's the small green socket in the center:
