2016 XC90 T6 Inscription / TPMS system service light

I had this light come on the other day and passenger rear tire was showing no info. I replaced the sensor and have driven about 40 miles and that sensor is still not registering. Seems to be that it will register automatically. I have no option to select store pressure on the dash. What next? Im lost.please help.

Did you activate the sensor with tpms tool prior to the instalation? What sensor you installed(oem, autel, amazon, ebay....)?
Do you have access to a tpms tool? Autel makes a great affordable tool which is frequently sold on Facebook marketplace for around $100(if you are buying 24 sensors from autel, tool is for free. So tech will just sell tool for some money and invest towards other more needed tools. )

You can always try to jack up the wheel which is not responding. Release all the pressure, and reinstate to factory spec. Sometimes it make "trigger" the sensor and wake it up. Drive for couple min above 40mph and see if you were lucky

I bought a Duralast one at Auto Zone and it runs on the 433mhz frequency but sadly I had it installed at a big box location that was not able to program it

It appears that this car can have 3 possibilities for sensor programming. One of them is indirect learning.
For the rest you need to have a tool which is compatible with your tpms sensor and able to talk to your car. I had a good luck with Autel. Universal sensor from Autel is $25. But can be only programmed with their tool.

If your car is not "indirect" learner..then you need to go to good tire change place. They will need to have equipment that is compatible with Schrader protocol(most high grade tpms tools are). And ask them to program this sensor to your car. Likely will not be super cheap..i woukd say probably 0.5 hour rate so $100

would be my guess.

Thanks for the help. I got so annoyed I paid Firestone to fix it for $89... All of your suggestions are so much better..
