In the not too distant future I will be undertaking the dash mount repair. I have a nice Boss unit that I installed in my sons car, which I removed when it was wrecked. I am seriously considering installing it in my car for the Bluetooth, ,backup camera etc.(its not a sound issue its for the additional functions). the Boss is a double din. I am trying to figure out if I can install it in my 99 S70 GLT. I understand what needs to be done from a connection point of view. I also know the rails have to be trimmed and the opening is slightly larger than a double din. The unit originally came from crutchfield, unfortunately crutchfield considers it non compatible. This is likely due to the lack of a specific P80 mounting kit.
What I am trying to figure out is 2 things:
1) is there a mounting frame which will work for the Boss and the GLT?
2) is there a trim piece which will finish it off?
depending upon what i find i may or may not persue...we will see. I have read many threads but i am unsure of #1 and #2 above
if anyone is aware please let me know
the unit is a Boss BE7ACP-C

I wouldn't bother - the sound quality will be significantly worse than the stock head unit, removing the rails in the dash compromises the structural integrity in that area, and you can easily add Bluetooth to the stock radio with a Grom or Yatour unit.
