Since many Volvo diagnostic apps eventually become paid or require a subscription, I decided to build my own Android application for Volvo owners.
The app connects to your car using a standard Bluetooth ELM327 OBD II adapter and provides access to many diagnostic functions and live vehicle data. I've been developing it in my free time for several months, and I'm continuously adding new features.
This is actually my first post on this forum. I'm usually active on local Volvo forums in my home country, but I'd really appreciate your help with testing and improving the app. This project was created for the Volvo community. I don't plan to charge for the application or monetize it with ads – I want to keep it free and useful for everyone.
Current features:
Read and clear DTC fault codes Engine oil level monitoring Battery information (SOC, voltage, charging/discharging current) DPF monitoring and regeneration data Live turbo boost pressure charts DIM (instrument cluster) parameters Parking sensor diagnostics Many additional ECU parameters Real-time charts with data export Fast Bluetooth connectionThe application is currently focused on Volvo models from 2014 to 2018. (Tested with Volvo S60 II 2014 D4 2.0 engine)
Google now requires new developers to complete a closed beta test with at least 12 testers before an app can be released publicly on Google Play.
I'm looking for Volvo owners who would be willing to:
Join the beta program
Install the application
Test it with their vehicle
Report bugs or suggest new features
You don't need to use the app every day. Simply joining the beta and trying it out from time to time is enough.
