I've replaced indicators front left and right, bulbs OEM by LED ones (turn, 3rd brake, brakes, day lights). I had to install electrical resistances on all modified wiring. Now, if others dummies don't see i want to turn it is to despair...

Next job : replace the sunroof.

Drove it!

Wanted to test drive it and check all was tight and proper with the new exhausts, front drop links and lights. Everything good and the old bus behaved impeccably in the heat.

Filled her up with 98 RON and did a nice gentle 40 miles, stopping at a friend's pub for lunch.

Weather was warm, so when I arrived home I peeled off the damaged protective clear film over the edge of each door shut. The glue was nice and soft and it came off cleanly. I have some new 3M film and was going to renew it but it looks clean without and I'm very careful climbing in and out, which you have to be at 6'5" and 285.

Replaced the right fog light today with a used part. The old one was kind of rusted inside and full of water.
On the “new” fog light, the plastic part of the adjustment mechanism had come loose from the threaded rod, so I came up with a practical solution and re-greased the thread:

Saw one of these for sale locally recently. Seller wanted only about $10 less than a new one from Volvo!! It looked terrible with a badly scratched and shipped front lens. Never seen one as corroded as that, but glad you found a good replacement! Nice fix too.

In germany, at least, there are currently only one or two dealers that sell these fog lights new. Prices range from 150 to 170 euros each. Used ones cost a little less than half that, which is still pretty expensive for used parts, but they're hard to find.

The reflective layer had dissolved due to moisture, so that although the fog light was still on, but no beam of light was hitting the road. I suspect a defective seal is the cause of the water ingress.

Wet sanded and polished the rear hatch that I repainted last year, got some excessive orange peel back when I painted it.
Oh and the window strip is not OEM. I removed it and after derusting and painting I filled it with black Sikaflex. Which I then put a glue on strip over.

While I was at it I also removed and repainted the wiper warm, it's a bit of a hack job but an improvement IMO.

Then I've used my extractor and washed all the carpets and seats.

I hope that tailgate strips stays in place! You look like you did a better job than the repair shop did on my friends 98 V70. The strip they fitted didn't make it all the way home on picking the car up from the repair shop. I currently have a brand new one behind me in our home office waiting to get fitted. I got it from GCP.se which had them in stock. I just wish I had bought 2 as the sipping would not have been much if any more. Price was way cheaper than the local dealer wanted, the shipping though took the prices closer getting it to Canada. However the dealer said it would take 6-8 weeks to deliver, but I got it in 2 weeks.

I always love to see how owners like you manage to bring these cars back to a very tidy running condition. Well done!

Thanks, that's what most trailer hitches look like over here so I've never thought about it.

The glue on strip loosened a bit in the middle but I found that wiping with acetone helped get the glue working again.

I have some bigger projects for this 850 next. I need to replace the right outer steering tie rod, perhaps the left one too. Exhaust will be replaced after the cat, but I also need to get the cat out to weld the rear of it, where the new exhaust needs to go, because that has almost rusted off. So whole exahust out.
