Amplifier upgrade, 2024 Volvo XC60 B5 Plus Dark with 10 speaker system

I am trying to upgrade the door speakers and amplifier in my Volvo. I am going to use an aftermarket DSP that will accept amplified speaker level inputs from the OEM amp. I read that the MOS system would disable the factory system output if it does not see the speakers/drivers. Can anyone verify what impedance the OEM amplifier needs to see to keep it from going into fault (when the speakers are no longer connected to it)?

Volvo factory amplifiers usually require a load between 4 and 8 ohms to prevent the system from going into protection mode or throwing open circuit codes. If your DSP doesn't have built-in load resistors, adding external load-generating devices like the AudioControl AC-LGD or standard 39-ohm dummy resistors to the speaker outputs should keep the OEM amp happy.
