Should I use a vacuum fill for coolant on 2004 V70 AWD

I have successfully used coolant drain & fill for Volvos for many years without issue. Does using a vacuum/fill device work better than filling coolant reservoir, starting engine, adding coolant as reservoir level drops, wait for thermostat to open, then continue to add coolant over several days as air pockets are displaced? Thanks.

fill the bottle. start engine, keep adding, drive it around the block, top it off when the low coolant warning comes on, pump the top hose to burp any air pockets out.

Yup, this works. Takes a while, but works. Check again after a few drives.

If you have access to a vacuum fill rig, use it. It’s like the old Ronco statement of “Set it and forget it”
