New owner of a 96 850R Wagon! Questions:

Hi all,
I recently got my hands on a T5 855 that a previous owner did an R conversion on. I'm actually not sure the extent but I know he was a big fan of IPD. Only 150k miles on it.
I stage zeroed it, oil change, replaced some of the more rotted out rubber.
I've owned many 850s before but only NAs.
Is there anything I need to be doing maintenance on because this is a turbo model? Extra fluids to change? Extra regular maintenance I should be doing?
Anything I need to know about the turbo specifically?

Let me be the first to welcome you to MVS. What a great find and I'm sure many will be jealous of your new car. Sounds like a interesting spec. I would suggest getting to know what parts are not OE Volvo so should you have issues you know if you have issues along the line.

There are not many differences to be concerned about on a turbo v's an NA car. Yes there are differences and the few tat jump to mind are:

1) Pipework - There is a lot more vacuum pipework and intercooler pipes. So give these a thorough check over for condition and cracking.
2) Turbo - If the opportunity arises, and you have to remove the turbo intake pipe, you can reach down and feel for movement sideways of the turbo impeller to check for wear.
3) Oil pipework - You have additional engine oil cooler pipes that run to the cooler in the RHS of the radiator. They will leak with age and are pricey to replace. Your options are to remove them completely (check Robert DIY videos for this info) or several have remade their own pipes and there is info on that.

Otherwise I can't think of anything that jumps to mind to be concerned of.

I was just at my local dealer yesterday and my friends there were telling me of a recent new customer ho brought his 850-R from England and it is running about 500 bhp on a manual trans.
