Hello dikidera, will it be possible to work with other adapters? sm2pro or dice

For devices for which I do not have physical access, it will be difficult, without USB sniff logs. For DiCE it might be possible, but it will mean that users will have to be guinea pigs.

Actually USB sniff logs would work much better. That is all I need. DiCE unlike other J2534 devices has parallel communication, meaning it likely contains 2 CAN bus transceivers to communicate over HI and LO speed busses at same time. VIDA source code event makes that distinction.

What do you mean by USB sniff logs? Are you needing someone to use a logic analyzer on the DICE?

I have used an Autel j2534 VCI for VIDA in the past, FYI. So, the driver functions should be well know/ documented. It would communicate on the entire network at once.

Or, do you mean VIDA logs?

I can get logs for you but I don't know about testing. I am sure of your capabilities but I would be giving you logs from reading customer vehicles.

By the way, I am figuring out the P2 XC90 CAN broadcast data.

I'm not done with it yet and there may be errors from the fact that I've not fully identified everything yet *and* I've used a 2008, a 2010 a 2011 *and* a 2013 to identify the signals with. I have eliminated nearly all of the erroneous inclusions because I now have three different 2013 captures to validate against.

However, I have yet to validate the DBC against a known good 2013 XC90. That will be necessary before I consider this to be anything other than a pre-release file.

I am working of a Android-DiCE API and SDK. Lets see if I can pull it off. That would open the door for other Android apps to use DiCE.
Intending to do the same for Linux-DiCE.

I have a RotKee USB analyzer and a BusPirate.
