V70 2000 B5244S2 leaking coolant after water pump renewal

So, I think I shoot myself on the foot.

I just got a V70 2000 whit 250.000km with a 16 year old timing belt. I replaced it and thought it would be a good idea to also do the water pump.
Old water pump was mint, no leaks no nothing, just for peace of mind. it came quit a paper gasket wich I sealed with Curil T2 like I always do. Torqued in Star pattern to 20Nm and when I put coolant in it and let it run for 20 or 30 min so I could fill the system it showed no leaks. After that I put the plastic cover and still dry. Now after a few days it leaks after sitting overnight. No much, but enough to make a puddle.

Am I missing something? Could it be somewhere else? I still have to clean it and see where's leaking, but some tips would be nice. I really don't want to open it again. On my last Volvo I had this issue with a paper gasket but it was raining coolant and a new non paper gasket with Curil T2 solved it. Now it barely moves the collant level

On these cars....paper gasket and new bolts with a sealant on them which comes in the box with new water pump is enough.
Sealant shouldn't be used,just a smear of grease to keep it in place for easier installation.

Which water pump did you used?
Did it come with brand new bolts with sealant on them?

Could be that you missed a piece of an old gasket somewhere and didn't cleaned mating surface properly.

Be careful when you replace the water pump. There are 2 lengths of bolt. Aisin (OE supplier) changed the thickness of the body of the pump so it is thinner and needs shorter bolts. Aisin don't supply new bolts in the kits we get here so it is difficult to figure this out. I think the older bolts were 30mm long and the new ones 25mm, but I'm not 100% if that is the correct lengths from memory.

As Misha says, you need to use a sealant if you re-use the old bolts and they are the correct length.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I cleaned everything and drove back home from work and it was leaking from the hose from the expansion tank to the water pump and the coolant was being routed to drop by the side of the water pump.
Just tightened really hard and this morning no leaks!
Anyways I'm replacing this expansion tank and hose since it has missing holding tabs and it looks a little crusty.

That's such a a relief man!
