Auxiliary headlights

My wife has bad night vision and our 2008 V70 has weak headlights. These are the standard incandescents. I need to improve the lighting but an LED conversion seems like a pain. Has anyone installed a set of LED foglights or driving lights? I assume these would mount up on the bumper, perhaps to the sides of the grill to avoid interfering with airflow. Any advice appreciated.
