I looked all over ( this site is overwhelming), One person asked this same question a few years ago and got no response. I'll try, any recommendations on a ETM scanner... 02 c70. 2.3, my car needs attention.. please..

You need VIDA to do a sweep test and really test an electronic throttle body.

The autel series will give you basic readings like the sensor outputs and voltages but VIDA rules here

iCarsoft does Volvo/Saab specific scanners. I had a thread on this recently trying to decide what is best for an update for me going forward.

It may be of help. the V2 is more basic but has good abilities, the V3.0 has more 2 way/bi-directional capabilities, and the V4.0 has more or less the same abilities as the V3.0 but has the feature to add 2 more car brands as you wish. You might want to contact a seller and ask if the specific feature is covered for your model/year.

I have a older Autel 802 and as I have found they have now stopped any updates for this machine which was not cheap, but on using it on a 2002 Honda Oddity yesterday, it had limited coverage for the older cars. Some of that is the lack of info the manufacturers would allow access to at that time. It would only cover, ECU/TCU and some minimal other functions. I needed SRS capabilities but not covered. In fact I have a recent Mucar BT200 Max bluetooth unit and it did scan the SRS and said no faults, yet the car has a light on. Old school checking showed a badly installed replacement clasp on the driver's seatbelt that stretched the cable when it moved at the clasp end. Sometime using just the old diagnostics and simple equipment can do the work too.
