If that over-ride button gets stuck, good luck getting it out using WD-40 and keeping it working. Pulling the console to access the button fully and then cleaning it fully will have it running good again. You could consider a smidge of silicon oil after cleaning it to re-hydrate the button slider. Broken button is a common issue. Replacement is about $15 from FCP. With practice a 10 minute or less repair.
