Outside Temp Sensor 05 V50AWD T5

My outside temperature gauge does not seem to be working as I would expect it to. It seems to creap up when the car is stopped or parked.
I seem to recall reading that there was some issue related to this but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Can anyone offer up some suggestions. Is this a known issue?

I'm not sure if this is an issue with the V50 but my 850 shows a higher temp when stationary because of the location of the sensor.

This is from the V50 owner's manual:

At low speeds, or when the car is not moving, the temperature readings may be slightly higher than the actual ambient temperature.

Hm, mystery solved. I knew I read something about this somewhere. My other Vvos also tend to creap up when they are not moving but none of them as much as this one does........
