stalling 440

hi all has anybody had the same problom as me i drive a 440 2ltre i Keeps stalling cuts out glide to the curb wait ten mins then i have to take key out of ignition lock doors then unlock doors with fob then turn engine over starts fine untill a few more miles down the road and it starts all over again key out of ignition blah blah would it be coil / fuel pump / suspect ignition module has anyone had the same problom as me in the past with this model

What year is the car?

Is it fitted with an immobiliser? Usually if it is any of the three things you suggest you don't need to lock and unlock the doors to get it started. I am not ruling them out but it seems odd that you need to go through that rigmarole.

Your vehicle is fitted with an On-Board Diagnostic unit which will store any fault codes thrown up. This makes diagnosis of engine problems much easier. It is located on the left side of the engine compartment on the strut tower.

thanks for reply billofdurham most helpful im going to have a look at onboard diagnostic today to try to fathom the problom bye the way its a p reg 76 i think many thanks
