850 Electrical Gremlin 1995, 150K, Non-Turbo

Turned key(engine) off removed from ignition blower , lights ra and radio stayed on.

Wiggled steering wheel back and forth(in locked position) radio, blower turned off, lights stayed on, eventually moving wires under steering column and wiggling things got everything to turn off.

Problem kept repeating, went under dash moved wires etc... thought I heard a click, can't confirm, but problem is gone for now.

Any thoughts?

My first thought is the ignition switch itself. Common problem with them although its usually the reverse. Put the key and start but lights and radio won't work.

Appreciate that however I removed the multi pin connector from the ignition and still had the problem. That too was my first thought, I'm more concerned that it may be the multi pin connector itself. Tracing those wires is like looking into a spaghetti bowl!
