v40 vs v70
I have a good chance to buy v40 - 2002 - 138000ML.
The good thing: my mechanic knows this car. The price is good.
The bad thing: I love v70.

I Appreciate any comparison.

My mom had a V40, and it was few degrees less comfortable than my 850. For tall people or those with lower back pain, I'd suggest the larger car. The seats and lumbar support weren't as good as my Volvo.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

1: This is in the wrong forum
2: You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about!
A 2002 V40 has a MITSUBISHI platform not a Focus.
The 04.5 is built on the P1 platform, not an old 02.
3: An 02 V40 is, well not the best car on the planet. It doesn't have any Volvo driving dynamics.
The only thing that's common with a V70 is the radio and the to some extent the seats.
I would recommend ANY year V70 over that POS and while I'm at it, to the OP that said a comment about the Ford, that platform may be one of the BEST platform ever made.
Supports the Euro Focus, one the better handling cars, the Mazda 3 and 6, also very good handling cars ( and the Volvo, also the best handling Volvo built to date, very solid little cars).
Unfortunately the 02 V40 is none of the above, pass and buy a REAL Volvo

JRL - grammar? You pointed out the issue with the forum, but I think you may have forgotten to type complete sentences.

However you have a solid point with the fact that one of the few decent things that Ford has managed to produce is in fact the Euro designed Ford Focus. Not a Volvo, but still quite a nice car to drive... for a Ford.
