v40 vs v70 ?

Actually I opened this topic to know PRO & CONTRA but got just some subjective's opinions. Does v70 have Volvo motor? Has Volvo platform? Is that all that we call Volvo?

This is a good post I'm glad you started it because I was looking at replacing my wife's 98 Jetta VR6 with an S70 or a slightly newer S40...but wanted to get a pure "Volvo" as I hear some of the newer cars just have too many issues.
