I've 2003 XC90 and most of the radio and climate contol lights have burned out. Does anyone have any info on how to replace them?
Thanks

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

You may find, depending on the head unit, that the radio bulbs can not be replaced.

The lights for the switches in the lower row of the environment panel can not be replaced. The entire switch assembly has to be replaced.

To get at both units the gear selector must be as far to the rear as possible.

Switch off the ignition, remove the key for safety and wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

Prise up the rear of the panel around the gear lever and twist it so that it is as far from the centre console as possible.

This exposes 4 screws at the bottom of the Infotainment Control Module (ICM)/dashboard environment panel. Who thinks up these names?

Remove the lower 2 screws only at this time. Angle out the complete assembly and disconnect the connectors.

Turn the complete assembly around and remove 4 screws from the back. Now press in 4 clips on the back and remove the ICM by pulling it straight out.

On the front remove the remaining 2 screws and pull the environment panel out from the bracket. Remove the bulb(s) and holder(s) by twisting the holder clockwise.

Install is a reverse of the above.
