I'm about to take delivery on a 2006 S40 2.4, that comes with a single CD player stereo. I was browsing online and found a few standalone MP3 changers that can be installed in the trunk and use FM to transmit the music. A few questions:
I'm wondering if anyone has installed such things and can recommend a model that goes well with the car's interior "decor"; and a good place to put the controller module. I would love to put it on the dash itself, under all the climate control buttons, but I am wondering if drilling a hole in it is the best idea. I really would like to avoid having a lot of snaking wires.
Thanks!
Apologies if this has been discussed, I tried searching but didn't find anything.

Not to much information on such things here...although I know that an FM transmitter for music is by far the worst quality. Your best bet is an adapter that will allow you to hard wire.
