940- 1993-Regina-150k-Eratic Idle and stalling

Well- After owning many Volvo wagons in my life- 240, 740, 940, 266--I am finally stumped on this one---1993, 940 Regina Ignition with 150k miles.-automatic
This car has always idled erratic but not terrible, however, it recently started to stall out and die once in awhile- happens from a stop. It will start again but I have to push the peddle to the floor as if is flooded.
This car has great power and runs like a champ.
I have changed the idle control switch, Fuel reley, cleaned the idle housing and firetrap. I changed the fuel filer and cleaned the idle pump. I have checked for vacume leaks and just changed out the mass air flow meter. still I have the same problem?
I am ready to changed the head gasket, evaporator purge valve, fuel pressure regulator and A engine control/fuel unit is 400 new or 70 on ebay.

help??

How long have you owned the car??

How long has it been since you changed the timing belt??

...and if it was changed recently, who did it, you or a shop??

Also, have you or anyone else recently reset the ignition timing??

I have a 1991 940 with idle and stalling problems until I changed the fuel pressure regulator.
