2000 XC70SE ETM cleaning experience so far...

Here it is, convinced the parents to buy a Volvo 6 months ago for safety ect ect...car has 92k, PCV, TB/WP, hoses, ect. They live in NYC, so they bring it to Bay Ridge Volvo in brooklyn to start with ETM cleaning. Software was done in 05/2006. The dealer does not even drive the vehicle, tells them the campaign does not apply to this vehicle and sent them on their merry way. I was so pissed, immediately called my local dealer Keystone Volvo in Berwyn PA. scheduled a appointment in for today. picked the car up and the drivability problems are gone. the low speed problems 95% gone. they confirmed a stored code for the ets and it warranted only cleaning ATM. there is still a hunting idle problem, and now after this " ETM fix" i do truely believe volvo is covering up a large problem. the drivability problem still exists slightly, and it is surely going to happen again. we upped the AAA membership to the plus membership that covers up to 100 miles for towing. We now have out fingers crossed that this ETM will fully fail before the Aug 2010 warranty deadline date. It would really suck if it broke (like my 99 v70) 45 days out of warranty
