V70 AWD 1998 Unknown Sensor/switch

Post by pigpete »

Ok I would take a photo but I think its easy to explain.
I have a small white plastic sensor on the front part of the engine under the intake manifold to the left of the starter, right of the dipstick. It has a broken wire to it. Althought I cannot find the termination point of the wire I would like to know what this sensor is for.
Thanks.
Did own a blk 850 turbo wagon.
Over 221,000 miles till the wife drove it too long with a cracked Rad.

A picture would help a ton but my guess is either EGR or the purge valve for the EVAP. They are both in that general area.
