Got the ETM blueeess.. or maybe not.. need some assistance..
What I have done so far.. meclanic.. by the way.. not ase certified nuts!
1. cleaned out the maf sensor.. will . / . look at Tues again!
2. removed the throttle body.. that etm think a my jig.. cleaned
though it was pretty clean.. and replaced it installing a new volvo gasket from the dipstick dealer. >> Software was updated in 07!!
3. cleaned all the connections with electronic cleaner crc..
4. replaced all components and tighten all the bells as it were..
>>checked for air leaks in all hoses going to airbox as well!!
Now.. before I started the removal process above, it was idling around 850-900, O.K. right, but when being driven and at almost a stop the idle would rev slightly to around 1300 when coming to a complete stop. only when stopping - declerating only.. fun fun fun..not
Now part 2-

the issue.. its a short etm novel.. after the etm cleanage!!
now the throttle upon start, starts at;
1. 900rpm and slowly like the non-turd it is - climbs to about 1300..
2. So when driving at between say 5mph and 45mph the idle goes up and down, up and down to around the base idle normal when driving to up about 400 rpms plus the base and back again.. sound likes to me, like a dreaded iac valve?? how about you??
Cleaner ??
Preferably cleaner for the iac valve.. throttle body cleaner or maf cleaner?? thanks??
Am I throwing any codes?? Yes, yes, yes, yes, 3 to 5 depending how many times I turn it off..
Clear the codes.. then after the bugger won't start for about (5) clicks
it cranks and runs so so - fine.. except for the idle slowly up to 1300rpms and the erratic up and down mood swings..
codes.. 1610, 1604, 1614 actron scanner codes
The ets light does come on and the shift up light!!
Note: the shift light up, and the ets do go off.. when started.. the check engine and service light don't ever come on, just the check engine only when the ets is on for a brief second.. bugger!!
Car: 134k one owner.. just bought it private.. the idling thing was doing it all the way.. home.. the first situation..

Dealer tidbits!! Went to two.. one actual spent about 10 min scanning and said they didn't find anything, before I took off the throttle body.. and the ets light was not on... no codes.. it's always the case!!
The other local dealer. have (2) said only if the codes relate to the recall will they fix the bugger.. Might have to sell this toad!
