On this site it says 'Lifetime Warranty' but it appears to say 1 year warranty on the XeMODeX site.
Which is correct or ????

this is a interesting thing.
now its a one year warranty? the ETM's have not even been in the field for one year yet.
xemodex should chime in and clarify this.

When I was first contacted by XeMODeX I said that I would not buy the ETM if it only had a one year warranty. I suggested that if they had confidence in their part and since there were mo rubbing parts to wear out they should put a lifetime warranty on the Digital Angle Sensor that replaces the potentiometer. So that is what we settled on.dcarlson12 wrote:On this site it says 'Lifetime Warranty' but it appears to say 1 year warranty on the XeMODeX site.

I'll pass this on to XeMODeX.

No you did not get shafted, XeMODeX has just not yet corrected their web site.gshadow325 wrote:what is the deal with the warranty?

Here is the current and latest warranty.http://fixyouretm.com/Warranty.html
As of May 1, 2009,
Lifetime warranty limited to the Digital Angle Sensor. The rest of the ETM is mechanically sound and the computer in your car has been proven by thousands of hours of operation so I don't think you have anything to worry about. We have seen some internal electrical failures and are taking measures to correct these so they will not be a problem.

So we did we get shafted or not? now xemodex changed their warranty language to specifically cover just one part. where before it was covering the entire unit. it is understandable why it would be changed in such a way. what about all the other early adopters that bought it under the assumption/guarantee of the previous warranty policy?DonWillson wrote:No you did not get shafted, XeMODeX has just not yet corrected their web site.gshadow325 wrote:what is the deal with the warranty?

I'm really disapointed, I tried contacting Xemodex through their website atleast 3 times if not more, and I never got any answers whatsoever... It's been a couple of months now and I still don't know what's going on... not sure if I'd ship my ETM over to them if it takes them so long just to answer an e-mail...

I got mine back in March and I read everything I could find before hand, and it was always my understanding from the documentation that their guarantee only covered their Digital Angle Sensor upgrade. Why in the world would you expect them to cover the rest of the throttle body such as the bearings, plate, motor, etc. that they have nothing to do with and no control over?DonWillson wrote:

By the way, mine's still running great after about 10K miles!
