volvo v40 battery
how do i remove the plastic clip holding the battery in place i need to replace battery 2002 v40 yes its the original battery

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
In theory you should be able to pull the clip up and it will come off. In practice lever it off with a screwdriver, slide the battery about 2" to the side and lift it out.
Remember to have your radio code. Disconnect the negative lead first. Nobody should be in the car whilst you are re-connecting the battery. Turn the ignition switch to position 11, re-connect the positive lead first, then the negative lead.
Make sure the SRS light goes out.
