I wonder if your local rhino-liner would shoot it for you. They make a product for boat hulls that is the same as the truck bed liner but smooth finish for boats.

At this point I'm going to just tape off the rubber edge and coat the aluminum section with the stuff I got- I'm not even taking these off of the car. As soon as I have a non-rainy day I'll get it done and take some pictures.

Lemme know because mine are peel terribly. I actually thought about just buffing the aluminum. But then I'd have to stripp off every bit of rubberized pain from all the other trim too.

Craig, I've stripped almost all of mine off- left is a section on the driver's side from the front window down to the hood cowl. It is stuck on well and hard to get off...but I've read that slitting it with a sharp knife down the middle helps and then scraping with a razor and possibly sanding. I'm getting all of mine off before my repair because I want everything to match up.

hi MIJ

the good news is that u d ont need to take anything off, strip the excess rubber tha is peeling on the top part of this trim, carefully tape around (by the way u can actually slip a newspaper of plasic underneath the trim thats on the roof the is a bit of loose there ) tape around the trims that sit on the side of the windshield, cover surroundind areas prepare and paint.
the aluminium needs some prep and adherant promotor to have the rubberised undercoating stick there for a long while, u can go directly with the rubberised under but it will be to start all over within a year or so. With a bit of patience and prep it will make a reat job.

cheers !

Thanks my friend- I'm hoping that I can find this or something similar in the next couple of days. It is suppose to rain here through Monday. So, for now, I can only do the inside stuff- odometer gear, center console lights, etc. I really need to be outside to do the roof trim, timing components, water pump, flame trap, etc. My goal is to get this car in it's best shape during my spring break this week.
