ABS code 411

I am throwing code 411, front left inlet valve? Anyway is this likely to be an issue with the sensor itself needing to be replaced or something else?

PS - left is left as viewed from the drivers seat, right?

That code indicates a problem with the left front inlet valve on the hydraulic modulator. The manual goes through a test procedure but they use a breakout box.

I tried to figure out what wires you should check but the schematic doesn't identify what valves go with what wheels.

It would likely be cheaper to buy the whole unit from a pick and pull than it would be to take it to the dealer to have it diagnosed.

Ah, ok thanks Lee, pity it wasn't just the sensor as they are cheap. I'll see if my independent Volvo Mech can diagnose, sounds expensive though.......

So the car is throwing every ABS code there is now i've gotten around to taking a closer look. I wasnt having much luck sourcing a second hand part, so it was looking like that problem was going to be around for a while at $1000.00 for a new one. Anyway, I happend across this website Sunday morning, and filled in the details of the module. 2hrs later I got a phone call from a guy with the part - he couldnt get it to me for a week, and was $100.00 ok? Hmm, can I have a minute? Anyway, just wanted to pass this on as a source of those "hard to find" parts:

So replacedthe hydaralic modulator, an everything seemed fine for a while, but now the TRAC/ABS lights keep comming on intermittently, which is how the issue first started before gpoing to permanently on. I am pretty convinced I had a modulator problem, as as soon as I replaced it the lights went out for several days, but why do they keep comming back on?? The codes thrown, are again every one to do with the ABS module.

Ok, seems to have settled down somehwhat, and is just throwing codes 141 & 142. Could this be something to do with the brake bleeding - the manual says pressure bleed, don't know how much of a difference that will make?
Also, the high level brake light bulb went out at about the same time it started throwing the codes - coincidence?
