C70 jan2000 idle speed erratic
hi guys my c70 idles erratically constantly jumping and falling between500rpm and 1200rpm any ideas what the problem could be. also any ideas where i can get a repair manual for this car as haynes manuals finish at 1999 for this particular vehicle

No manual unless you want to buy the VADIS DVD discs that often come up on eBay. What you have sounds like a bad MAF (mass airflow sensor). You need to have your diagnostic codes read with a scan tool to be sure. AutoZone will do this for you, among other places.

I had the same issue over the past few weeks on my 2001 vehicle (its the 2.0 LPT version).
What I found was that it was actually the fuel injectors that was the cause and they just needed to be cleaned with an additive.
I added 1 12oz bottle to a full tank of fuel and as my car has 50k on the clock repeated the procedure when I next needed to fill the tank as I wouldnt say they had been cleaned before.
Car has been running fine since!
