I need to change control arms on my 2001, S80. Is this a big deal? I want to save the shop costs. I have gone as far as changing sway bar links and breaks before on this vehicle without any problems. What degree of expertise is needed to change these control arms?
Thanks

I just changed the LCA's on my '00 S80 T6 this weekend. It wasn't too bad, but it definately helps to have some assistance. Some of the specialty tools aren't necessary, but you'll definately need a good set of off-set metric wrenches to get to the bolts inside the frame. I changed ball joints while I had everything apart as well. Apart from the driver's side drive shaft falling out, things went pretty good. Just take your time. An impact wrench and air hammer helped in removing stubborn nuts and getting the ball joints out. Good Luck!
