1994 960 thermostat and sensor

Post by jlf »

1994 960 needs sensor associated with the thermostat and a new thermostat. Where is the sensor; can this job be accomplished with mid-range skill level.

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

Both jobs can be done quite easily with minimal mechanical knowledge.

When replacing the sensor disconnect the battery negative lead, having made sure you know the radio code, disconnect the sensor and unscrew it. Do this job before you refill the coolant system. When refilling the system pour the coolant in slowly to minimize air locks.
