I have, but only for the Mobil-3309 ATF. The same guys who sell that also sell other Mobil oil: http://store.avlube.com/bfoncolfacar.html but that's for 6 quarts...too expensive- even more when you figure in the cost of shipping. I've found that my best bet is to catch it on sale at Walmart in the 4 or 5 quart containers and then buy 1 or 2 more quarts on the side when I do my oil change.

Thanks MIJ. Do you go in to Wal Mart often, or do you look for a sale flyer in the newspaper, or ?

Actually, I hate Wally World and try to avoid it at all costs. When I start getting low on engine oil (remember, 4 cars here), I get online and look to see what is on sale...you can click on local for sale fliers on their website... then I make that special trip. The unfortunate things about W.M. is once you're in the store, you usually end up buying a lot of other crap you don't really need. But...I do buy oil and R-134A cans (for A/C) there as they tend to be cheaper there.

Mobil1 around here can be $6-7 per quart
That's a really good price, in my opinion.

As a US quart is roughly equivalent to a litre you are paying £4.04 (GBP). Mobil1 in the UK is £12.19 per litre which is equivalent to $18.10 at today's exchange rate. That is why we don't use full synthetic over here.

I must have been out of my mind when I turned down a job in the US in 1963.

I changed the oil on the Platinum and the '94 N/A today and was shocked when 4 gallons of oil cost over $80.00 with tax. I've been running the Valvoline MaxLife SynBlend stuff since all of my cars are in excess of 150k, the '94 is now at 219k.

I would love to find the stuff online for under $19 a gallon but I fear that freight might eat up any savings.

I had to laugh at the guy at the counter at the Advance Auto Parts store when he asked if I needed any filters and I told him that he didn't have filters for my car. They don't carry Mann or Mahle.

I always bought Mobil 1 from Walmart. I believe it was usually $20-$25 for a 5 qt. jug.

The original topic was about "on-line" oil purchases. I know the topic drifted a bit, but where do you buy AMSOIL wholesale?

For those of you in Europe you might want to look at http://www.mapodo.de/index.php/language/en
Online fluids for your vehicle. Prices are surprisingly human and comes with a fast service. 4-5 days from Germany to Sweden. Can’t imagine it would be any different to elsewhere in Europe.
