Not saying that they can't at all...just been on these forums for years and owner of Volvo's for 11. I've just read over and over about the Bosch Plat's having trouble in our cars after awhile. I do personally use the Bosch Copper cores and think they are awesome.

OK. I'll take that as a warning to pay attention and be prepared to replace the lowly Bosch Platinum single-prongs early, when they develop the dreaded mis-fire. :mrgreen:

The OEM-"Volvo" (likely NGKs) were in for 30,000 miles, and I only replaced them out or routine; not due to actual failure.

I'm getting 30+K miles out of my Volvo plugs as well- the Bosch coppers tend to need it a bit earlier, but hey, they're cheap.

you can use double platinum plugs as well, correct? I mean that's the only one i use. regular platinum burns too quick and earn you less gas.

I have no idea- I just avoid anything that says platinum on them after reading all of the problems people have had with them.

I got OEM spark plugs (8692071) for my S70 T5 '98 for just $29.20 + $10 shipping, from TASCA. These guys are the cheapest !!!! :wink:
