OK, i found two connectors in that spot, one looked as i was attached to an a/c line (at the firewall) i took a paper clip bent it into a 2 prong configuration and inserted it in to the plug part and even the connector, no engage. I saw another plug and disconnected it and did the same thing, nothing but the ABS light came on and then it went back off when i drove it. Any suggestions? I really appreciate you guys very much! It's 100 degrees here in Dallas and I'm trying to get this booger fixed.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you very much!
Matthew

The one on the A/C line next to the firewall is the correct on...make sure you use the paper clip in the one that is closest to the compressor- not the one closer to the firewall...then you'll need to turn your A/C on for it to work...did you do that? If it still doesn't work, then check fuses and still no, then your compressor's probably Kaput.

Did you pull a vacuum on the system like was mentioned above with the machine? If so, then was it tight...no leaks? If so, then did you fill with gas? After all of this, then you use the jumper wire inside of the connector that is on the A/C line WITH the A/C switch on inside the car...blower on high would be a good recommendation with temperature at lowest setting to make sure it comes on... if this still doesn't work then check all wiring to the compressor (did you disturb anything?)

I don't think i disturbed anything on the replacement hose, but to give you the overall, the a/c system has not been charged in a few months, there is a small leak in the evaporator from when it worked. I found a two pronged clip on the a/c line just in front of the timing belt, i did the jump procedure, nothing. I also found another connector closer to the compressor like you said, it's right beside the place you normally charge the system, but it has three prongs. Checked all the fuses, no visual burn outs on the small fuse box, on the other fuse box there is that little black box shaped fuse for the compressor, i unplugged it , but i could not tell if it has blown. Just trying to get through the summer months with some a/c ya know lol. I know that i am nowhere near the capacity of knowledge with volvos as you all are. So thanks for being patient. I found a small black wire with a plastic housing , this was directly on the compressor itself, did not know what to do, so i came back on here.
