On the forum index page it's a link at the topp-ish right "Mark forums read". In any forum it's a link in the same place "Mark topics read".

and the View New Posts, View Active Topics, and View Unanswered Posts lists.

I'm not sure I understand this.

This will help us keep track of anything new that we might want to read.

Those "Mark..." links are why I'm sane .

Hey Matt...adding another suggestion here- as you know I started a project of listing generic trouble codes and cross-referencing them to Volvo codes as well as the diagnostic box under the hood (OBD-I?) on earlier than '96 Volvo's and had completed quite a bit of this but wanted links to places on our site that would supplement where to go if you have a specific trouble code. The last was barely begun... Anyway, long story short, it was brought to my attention that there really isn't a good way to search out the "P" codes as they are called and the specific Volvo codes on our site and that uploading the excel file (database) that is still in progress might still be a good option, whether it is complete or not. How about it? Can you think of a good way to post it up and make it viewable to everyone? We can still add to it as we go along- especially links to threads that are related to the specific codes. Your thoughts and possible action on this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, great idea. I can't remember where that file lives... can you or someone email it to me, then I'll format and post it as a regular forum post.

Members can post additions to it in that same thread, and as those appear, we can move those additions to the head post (which may be a table).

VJS, I haven't forgotten about the content-in-email effort. It's been backburnered lately, but I think I know what the problem is with my earlier attempt to implement that.

OK, I see that in each forum. But I like to use the View New Posts, View Active Topics, and View Unanswered Posts hyperlinks at the top of each page. This brings up a list of those posts, but there is no "Mark as Read" available once you have the list up. Can that be enabled?

^^^ Ah, I understand... yes, I can put the "Mark all read" on those pages, only it won't specifically apply to those posts on those pages, but all posts. It's a "brute force" tool.

Took me awhile but I just sent you the trouble code spread sheet- I think it's the latest one we have- we had so many revisions! Let us know how to access and use it and add to it.

Thanks David. I split it -- Trouble Codes 1993-1998 and Trouble Codes 1999+. They are two permanent pages nested under Repair Database.
