Missing, Sputtering Under Load.

'05 V50 is missing, surging under load. Pulled off of hwy. and gave one large miss and then ran fine. Is it fuel delivery related? I get no error message or check engine light.

When was the last tune up? How many miles on your car?
When were the spark plugs changed? If they were, to what?

Just had the 60,000 mile service done and the spark plugs replaced at that time. The car has 66,500 miles currently. I don't know what the new spark plugs are.

What is happening to your car is not uncommon if plugs are just changed and they were changed with the wrong type or the gap is off- not sure what the correct gap is, so check your owner's manual and then pull your plugs and check them. If someone installed Platinum plugs or changed our your wires for something other than Volvo/Bougicord wires, misfires could be the result. Let us know.

Code P0088 Fuel Rail, pressure too high. Replaced fuel pressure regulator in the V50.
