what side of the valve absorber [rubber on top of valve spring keeper] goes up? flat or flared side? Thanks honestbob

I don't know if this will help, but the following diagram shows the absorber as part #22:

Thanks, although the drawing of the absorber does not look much like the actual rubber piece, the flare seems to face up and I will go with that. Thanks again
