Seat Belt Release Clip

Hi guys

My XC90 2004 Seat Belt release clip is not functioning properly. It is constantly stuck and makes releasing the belt very difficult. Both driver and passenger clips suffer the same.

Has anyone experienced this and if so what is the solution. I am sure this would not be in keeping with Volvo's safety ojectives.
